The Village Paws Thrift Shop

The Village Paws is Portland's only thrift shop run for the benefit of animals. Staffed by volunteers, all of the store's profits go to Animal Aid, Inc., an animal welfare organization which helps in areas not covered by any other agency.

Animal Aid provides financial assistance in cases of veterinary emergency when pet owners have no funds. It also rescues many injured, stray or abandoned dogs and cats and cares for them until permanent homes are found.

The Village Paws depends entirely on donations of merchandise from people in the community who care about animals. The shop sells clothing, books, jewelry, housewares, antiques and many other items. All donations are tax-deductible.
